Pharmaceutical and ChemicalOur involvement with the Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Basel was based on the evaluation of certain business process in the research of chemical abstracts and the capturing of data into a database. As the IT-infrastructure is based solely on Microsoft Office 2003, the Extracts2006 database was developed using Microsoft Access. Interfaces with third-party software used with various external equipment were seamlessly integrated, offering users the opportunity to import large volumes of data and in doing so, reducing the error quota. GovernmentOur involvement in the government sector involves the re-organisation of a decentralized Information Technology infrastructure to a centralized process-based service organisation. As part of the year long project, software was standardized to meet the various needs of the diverse composition of role players. A further project involved the initial testing of a custom-developed software solution based on SAP. Change management optimized the software functionalities to address the specific business processes in a department responsible for the construction of new and maintenance of existing buildings in the Canton Basel-Stadt.
